Well, this is a bummer. One of our favorite rocker couples, Jack White and Karen Elson have announced they're getting a divorce. It's not all sad, though -- they revealed they'll be celebrating the end of their union and proving that they're still close.
"We remain dear and trusted friends and co-parents to our wonderful children Scarlett and Henry Lee," they said in a statement. "We feel so fortunate for the time we have shared and the time we will continue to spend both separately and together watching our children grow. In honor of that time shared, we are throwing a divorce party, an evening together in Nashville to re-affirm our friendship and celebrate the past and future with close friends and family."
Elson, a British model, and White met on the set of the White Stripes' video for 'Blue Orchid' in 2005, and the couple married in Manaus, Brazil in June of that year. Elson's first album, 'The Ghost Who Walks,' was produced by her husband back in 2010 and featured her spooky, alt-country songs.
White is no stranger to divorce. He and White Stripes drummer Meg White split in 2000, and followed that up by dissolving their band in February 2011.
